As a reflective practitioner, I am deeply engaged in community activities. I was a Reconciliation Ambassador and Youth Facilitator with Reconciliation Canada, where I organized workshops to bridge the gap between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal communities. As a caseworker and Project Coordinator of ASPIRE’s HOPE Project, I provided counselling and mentoring services to the vulnerable and minority youth population in the Greater Vancouver area. I completed certificate courses on Mental Health, Family Law Mediation and Counselling from Fraser Health, Justice Institute BC and Continuing Legal Education Society of BC. I have been mentoring and counselling young people from diverse background since 2005. Currently, I offer following services both on voluntary and professional basis:
- Guided Meditation
- Self-care Practices
- Career Counselling and Academic Mentorship
- Relational Self-accountability
- Relationship Management with Family Members and Relatives
- Basic Guidance for Drug & Porn Addictions, Substance Uses and Mental Health Issues
Confidentiality, Respect, Dignity and Non-Judgmental Approach are foundational values of my one-on-one counselling and mentorship sessions. Contact me at masadull@sfu.ca for information.
